Maison de la Luz
Our design for Maison de la Luz channels the fertile, cross-cultural history of New Orleans to create a new kind of luxury hotel experience keyed to the intoxicating spirit of the city. Inhabiting a historic 1908 building adjacent to New Orleans’s former city hall, the 67-room guesthouse, with all its richly layered social and dining areas, feels as vivid and eccentric as Nola itself.
Awash in New Orleans savoir vivre, Maison de la Luz is designed to capture the intimacy of a private home and the glamour of an exclusive social club, all with the comforts of a great hotel.
Commissioned artworks, vintage treasures, bespoke details, and custom furnishings work in tandem to support the overarching narrative. This is a place that rewards curiosity.
The guest rooms are refuges, calm and luxurious. They’re places to relax and re-energize in a city that’s celebrating 24 hours a day.
